To succeed in life, in Multi level marketing, or for that matter in any worthy upright adventure, it is necessary that you become coachable, teachable, trainable, and willing to go the extra mile if you seek to get success.
Just a few weekends back I was at a Company training event for my primary Nework marketing business that was wholly incredible. The energy at these Company events is something that has to be experienced it’s not something that can be readily duplicated. If you’ve been at events you’ll know what I mean, if you haven’t been there, then be sure to attend your next big company convention. Then you’ll understand and from there forward you’ll want to get as many people on your team there as possible. You’ll be glad you did. The effect and results will astound you.
Since that event the last several weeks have been spent designing new presentations, mastering new information gleaned from the event, and reflecting on all that I experienced. I’ve been trying to keep the experience as fresh as possible in mind and spirit. I wish that I could just bottle some of the experience, and duplicate it with the same impact and magnitude that only a live event can provide. I’d make it immediately available for consumption, and send you some today.. The next best alternative I have at my disposal is to share a few gems from my experience
The following are some gold and silver nuggets gleaned from the event:
“You have to work as hard, or even harder on yourself than your business in order to succeed in this industry.”
Wow. I was just astounded when I heard it. Someone just came out and told it like it is for a change. Most people, companies, Guru’s, and trainers jump arround the subject, want you to sign up for their success club, buy their training, etc., but few ever come out and just tell you the truth plainly without something to sell you.
“Your attitude is the bedrock of it all. If you don’t master personal development you can have the greatest product/presentation/and company in the industry and still you will fail.” “Remember people join people in this industry, not products, not pay plans, and not opportunities.” “They join you.”
My background in success mentoring has provided me a differing perspective on what makes or breaks success in the industry then perhaps other teachers, mentors, and trainers in the field Most talk about systems, tools, and trainings, aimed at solving all your MLM troubles and leading you to stellar success as a result. All you have to do is follow the simple outline and plan, or so they say. And to a large degree that is true. It addresses and takes care of the outside oneself aspects of the success equation, also called the external action steps. The problem is many will never get to accomplishing the external action steps required for MLM success until they first do some internal work. Others can apply all the external action steps in the world but still will not attract success until their internal realm becomes accommodating.. These are the inside oneself aspects of the success equation, or the internal action steps required to succeed. If you haven’t heard someone tell you yet that success is an inside job, then you need to start listening better, and even then that only half the truth. To really succeed in this industry you will need both, mastery of self (an internal job) and mastery of process (an external job).
Success is not a destination it is a process of becoming, the effect of small daily differences made in our lives. A slight edge if you will. It is a slight deviation from the course of action that everyone else is on. Success in not something you pursue it is something you become. Most of it is an inside job and this is where people seem to fail dreadfully and then cite an abundance of outside reasons as the cause. Good sound business and marketing systems in MLM work. We fo not need to re-invent the wheel of Network Marketing Success Strategies. What we really need to do is start re-inventing ourselves to fit the model that already works.
To illustrate this point the following questions all represent inside aspects of the success equation necessary for success in MLM. Answer these questions honestly and evaluate the distance between where you stand now and where you need to stand to succeed in achieving your goals. My guess is we could all use to get our self-improvement plans together.
Are you showing up for Success?
” Do you consistently make small improvements and take the necessary baby steps each day that will take you to the life you desire most?
” Are you the kind of person you would join in business and do you have an outstanding attitude and infectious enthusiasm?
” Both your business and your self will require development time. Are you in it then for the long haul? Are you committed every day?
” Do you possess the necessary faith to take that first step before the way presents itself?
” Are your reasons why larger than any obstacle that may present itself, and are you firm in your purpose everyday?
” Are you ablaze with a burning desire in your heart to achieve your dreams?
” Do you regularly exhibit integrity in your actions and deeds?
” Are you ready to make sacrifices and pay the price each day to achieve your dreams and goals?
To be successful in this industry it is imperative you understand one simple cornerstone principle integral in achieving great success in this industry. People join People not companies, products, or pay plans. Among other things you must present an attractive character and you must convey value to your prospects. They won’t join you without it. To be persuasive you need to be a person of quality and value. To do that you must convey primarily two things, Trust and Respect. Strive to be a person of quality, a valuable person who radiates integrity, a positive enthusiastic addition to every environment you are in and you will become magnetic.
A 3 part Success Foundation:
1.) Master Awareness. To listen, sense, intuit, and basically become constantly aware of the opportunities around you at any given moment of everyday. Here’s my question to people: how are you going to do this if you are constantly overcome with your own selfishness and the stinking thinking that accompanies it? How can you be clear headed and in tune with your environment if your head is clouded with garbage and you’re wrestling with internal angst throughout the day. How can the concerns of others enter your being and your consciousness daily if that space is already full and occupied? You are in a business of helping people, of finding needs and filling them so show it. Make the shift internally.. People will notice and be attracted to the change in you. You’ll become more successful as a result.
2.) Number two is your attitude, and the effect you have on your general environment and the people around you. Are you a positive addition to every environment you are in? Do people feel like they’ve gained a new best friend after they meet you? Are you one of those people who can light up a room with your presence and charm, or are you one of those who sucks the air out of it? How would those who know you best rate you? What would they say about the energy you radiate? Is your attitude causing you to be attractive to others or a repellant? If you were to choose new officers and a board of directors for your new business venture would you pick you?
You cannot overestimate the value of a great attitude that comes right from your core. It’s value isworth more than gold and it is incredibly attractive to others. If you don’t possess a great attitude that radiates from within you already, then I suggest you start making immediate plans to achieve one. No one needs to be perfect here, but all these elemnts of self will directly impact your results in this industry.
3.) The third part of this simple plan is all about your actions. Do you regularly seize opportunities to assist others, or do you rarely notice them? Do you do your part each day to uncover the needs of others, provide solutions, and help people to achieve what they want most in life? Do you lead by your own good example, or do you just follow the crowd? Do you follow through with what you say? Are you a person of integrity? Are you waiting for opportunity to find you or are you out seeking and creating it each day?
Consistent action is the bedrock upon which success is built. Are you building your business firmly upon granite, or are you setting up camp in the sand? What would others answer about you? Answers to these questions are a success barometer for the inner strategy aspects of your MLM Business. By being honest with yourself you can fairly grade your performance. I’d be willing to bet that all of us can find room for improvement. It’s all part of that slight edge difference in the actions we take every day that improve ourselves and improve our results. It is daily differences compounded over time that takes us to the lives and success we dream about.
Tips for that Slight Edge:
Getting my mornings started right involves putting my attitude in the right place and focusing my energy on the right things. To help me do this I created a motivational video for myself. It’s just one thing that I am doing differently since the company event to improve my marketability and my results. You are all welcome to try it out for yourselves as part of your daily regimens. It’s one part of that slight edge strategy for the day. You can find the link to the video below which is available on my blog site under the Motivational Video Tab.
This is just one small perspective and off shoot that grew from teachings and inspiration acquired at the company event I attended.. Get yourself and your team to the next event and watch your self, your self-improvement plan, your business, and your income start growing.
